What is it?
Lemon-lime flavored, high-carbohydrate and mineral-rich food for athletes and heavy physical workers, with sugar and sweetener. – This is the official definition.
But what’s behind it? What’s the story? Because it is not just a new product, this product has a soul and passion is one of the
ingredients.
I have never been a good refresher. Mostly I didn’t do it. It was one of the weakest links during my preparations, I would say. I do not like to overdo things, I do not take thousands of vitamins, I did not refresh on my workouts with anything other than water and on the races rather with organic things (banana, melon, tomato). I did not use gels, pre-workout carbohydrate refills, post-workout regenerating powders or during workout isotonic drinks (except the bike), protein concentrates.
It was only recently that I started using magnesium and salt tablets. I consider it problematic. But it is necessary. Ever since I do triathlon, it has been an even more critical part of my preparation to refill, but most importantly to the race.
Many people say that good refreshment will improve the result.
I’d rather say that good refreshment helps you get the work out that you put into preparation during weeks / months. A good refreshent is a catalyst.

I recommend it to those who haven’t found their refreshment, who are skeptical, who don’t like experimenting, who want a good solution, and who want to spend time exercising rather than in the witch’s kitchen. Because I’m like this, and it made things easier for me after 12 years.
What does it contain?
All that is needed during a prolonged workout, that we use, which is lost and have to replenished during muscle function:
carbohydrates (maltodextrin, Palatinose) and electrolytes (sodium, chloride, calcium, potassium, magnesium).
Why isotonic? (adequate for blood osmotic pressure)
More and more hobby athletes have stomach problems. The primary reason for this is that during heavy exercise (increased muscle work, cardiac work, lung work) the physical functions that are secondary to sports activities are reduced, so that digestion does not work with the usual efficiency.
During refreshing, it is important to make sure that the body uses the least amount of energy for absorption. The work of the stomach and cells must be assisted.

It made me like carbohydrates – the psychic mechanisms
Carbohydrates are critical components of a meal, in conventional words, kind of mummy. Diet and carbohydrates are not fond of each other. Training and good carbohydrates, on the other hand, take on a different meaning for athletes.
It was not easy to switch my mind to this latter relationship because as a woman I am quite body conscious and I was overwhelmed with the “dread” of carbohydrate over many years and somehow had to fool myself as I began to get interested in the long distances.
Solid, gel-like, overly sweet, nauseating supplements are not good for distracting me from the idea of eating “sweets” full of sugar, but IsoRUN, a well-diluted, non-sweet, refreshing liquid, is.
Somehow, my brain does not perceive fluid as food, even if it has the right nutritional value, and I think I’m not alone in this sensual disappointment.
